About Us - Summer9 Projects
It's All in the Name
Summer (either Thai school or international school) is when our programs normally take place. Nine is an auspicious number in Thailand, and sounds similar (we know, not the same) as the word for stepping forward in Thai ก้าวไปข้างหน้า. We believe that summer should be a time that students should do something new, leave the four walls of their school classrooms, but not stop learning. The experiential learning that young people are a part of during their summer school breaks can be trans-formative.
Our Beginnings & Connections
We have offices in both Chiang Mai and Bangkok. However, we plan, in the future, to have summer programs for students in many areas both in and outside of Thailand.
Our program areas are new and dynamic. We started from an area of providing unique opportunities for students in areas they may not be accustomed, but will certainly open their eyes to new and different opportunities.
Summer9 Programs is a part of Thailand Academic Study Associates (TASA Co. Ltd.). TASA also collaborates with international and bilingual schools for Thailand Education Fairs. We branched, and still work collaboratively with the Friends for Asia Foundation.
Our Core Staff Team
Summer9 Programs has more than a handful of well-trained staff and program coordinators. However, our core, permanent staff are below:
